By using smudgescybersecurityclub.com or any of our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the site.
We offer a free instant breach and password-exposure check, paid data-exposure reports, a data clean-up service, ongoing membership monitoring, and higher-tier assessment and monitoring packages (Creator Shield, Professional Shield, Executive Vault, and Smudge Black enquiries). Each service's scope is described on the relevant page at the time you purchase it.
You're responsible for providing accurate information when using our services, for example, the email address you want checked, or your contact details for report delivery. We are not responsible for delays or errors caused by inaccurate information you've provided.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may include limited-time "early bird" pricing. Because our reports and clean-up work involve real research and manual effort once started, we generally do not offer refunds once a report has been delivered or clean-up work has begun, except where required by law or at our discretion.
Membership (Tier 3) involves a one-off setup fee followed by a recurring monthly or annual charge. You can cancel your recurring membership at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund fees already paid for the current billing period.
Our reports and checks are based on third-party breach and OSINT databases (including Have I Been Pwned, EmailRep, DeHashed, BreachDirectory, Intelx.io, and Epieos) and manual research. We do our best to give you an accurate and useful picture of your exposure, but we cannot guarantee that every breach, leak, or public data source will be found, or that any removal request will succeed. Many data brokers and websites are not obligated to comply with takedown requests, and outcomes are outside our control.
You agree not to use our services to investigate, harass, or gather information about another person without a lawful basis for doing so, and not to misuse any report or information we provide.
The Smudge's Cyber Security Club brand, website content, and report formats are our property or licensed to us. Reports we deliver to you are for your personal use and not for resale or redistribution.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our services, including losses resulting from breaches, leaks, or exposures that existed before you used our service, or from the actions of third parties (including data brokers who decline to remove your data). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access to our services if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, or if required to comply with law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
